The taste

Our pepper blend "Black Gold" is made up of three types of pepper:

Tellicherry pepper looks similar to black pepper, but is one of the finest pepper specialties in the world. Its first impression is of a woody and intensely spicy smell and its taste is pleasantly sharp. It is significantly more powerful, deeper, warmer and nuttier than black pepper.

Cubeb pepper is also added, which is quite mild in taste but still has a tingling spiciness. Fruity notes of lemon and eucalyptus give it a pleasant freshness. Cubeb pepper goes perfectly with meat, vegetable and game dishes. For the really brave, the pepper can also be used in chocolate desserts - for a wonderfully special combination of flavors.

The third in the group is the Bengali long-tail pepper, a real delicacy spice that has a high proportion of essential oils. The long-tail pepper tastes similar to black pepper, but is hotter, with a subtle sweet, warm note and a stimulating, slightly sour nuance.
